DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Preconstruction BIM Engineer to join our team. This role bridges the gap between design, construction, and marketing—collaborating closely with Estimating, Operations, and Marketing departments to develop high-impact proposals, presentations, and 4D simulations. The ideal candidate has a background in architecture or interior design, with a portfolio that demonstrates a strong sense of storytelling, visualization, and technical execution.
As a Preconstruction BIM Engineer at Roy Anderson Corp., reporting to the VP of Construction Technology, you will have the opportunity to:
Collaborate with Marketing, Estimating, and Operations to develop:
- Proposal graphics and deliverables
- High-quality renderings and visualizations
- 4D simulations for construction sequencing using project schedules
- Presentation decks and marketing collateral
Develop and manage BIM content and models during preconstruction phases
Convert design intent into immersive presentations using Enscape, Twinmotion, or equivalent software
Support pursuit efforts with customized visuals and storytelling narratives
Participate in internal coordination meetings to understand project scope, sequencing, and critical logistics
Integrate project schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project) into 4D visualizations for client-facing material
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience in architecture or interior design with a strong portfolio of marketing and presentation work
Proficiency required in:
- Autodesk Revit
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Enscape and/or Twinmotion (other visualization tools a plus)
Familiarity with BIM-based construction sequencing and 4D tools such as Synchro, Navisworks, or similar
Strong visual storytelling and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Construction or general contracting experience is a plus
Knowledge of Procore or other construction management platforms is a plus
