We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who can drive lead generation, intake performance, and strategic marketing growth at scale—while leading a diverse team with excellence and accountability. Position Summary The CMO will lead the firm's end-to-end marketing strategy, performance analytics, and intake optimization. This role requires a seasoned leader who combines marketing expertise with operational oversight and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate has prior experience in high-volume marketing environments (preferably PI law) and understands how to convert leads into cases efficiently through well-managed intake systems. This is a high-impact, in-office leadership role at the firm’s California headquarters, where close collaboration, accountability, and execution speed are paramount. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Execution Own and execute the firm’s full-funnel marketing strategy (digital, paid media, SEO, TV, social, referral, and more). Oversee multi-channel lead generation and branding efforts, ensuring measurable ROI on all campaigns. Manage external vendors, advertising partners, and agencies with strict performance oversight. Continuously test, analyze, and optimize marketing funnels to increase case volume and case quality. Intake & Conversion Management Collaborate with Intake leadership to improve conversion rates, responsiveness, and qualification processes. Align marketing performance with intake KPIs; lead A/B testing of scripts, routing, and response times. Oversee the implementation of lead scoring, attribution models, and intake workflows to maximize efficiency. Data & Performance Optimization Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems across marketing and intake functions. Use marketing analytics and performance data to guide decision-making and optimize channel spend. Identify and fix bottlenecks in the lead-to-case pipeline using real-time data. Drive a culture of testing, measurement, and continuous improvement. Team Leadership & In-Office Culture Manage a growing in-office marketing and intake support team with clarity, accountability, and mentorship. Establish and enforce high-performance standards across all marketing and intake staff. Foster a collaborative, driven, and execution-focused team culture. Develop hiring, training, and coaching systems to continually uplevel talent across both departments. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of managing large-scale campaigns. 5+ years in a leadership role managing both marketing and operations teams. Strong preference for candidates with experience in Personal Injury law or legal marketing. Deep fluency with digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, CRM/Intake systems, analytics tools). Proven success in managing intake performance and lead conversion in a high-volume environment. Exceptional analytical skills; ability to derive insight from data and optimize accordingly. Strong leadership presence; capable of driving urgency, accountability, and performance in-person. Hands-on, execution-focused approach with high attention to detail.
