As an Information Technology Specialist II you will have the opportunity to:

  • Actively advise and participate in the creation of information security standards and standard operating procedures, while also analyzing new and existing cloud software application integrations to ensure compliance with security requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, you will work on new cloud usage proposals and provide risk analysis for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
  • Leverage your expertise in network and cloud security, you will identify risks, recommend, and deploy approved tools to automate security processes, and provide support for Technology Recovery Planning
  • Advise, create, and actively participate in the design of new system planning, standards, and methods to support the organization’s technology strategies
  • Create secure solutions, encompassing various aspects such as cloud deployments, host-based security implementation, system hardening, and the deployment of security services like remote access, penetration testing, security architecture, threat hunting, fraud detection, network security, scanning services, log management, and security monitoring/systems
  • Conduct audits and vetting software applications to ensure compliance with security requirements, applying your knowledge of security to identify and protect DTSC assets

Desirable Qualifications We Look For:

  • 5+ Yrs experience in Information Technology domains preferred
  • 3+ Yrs experience in Information Security Engineering preferred
  • 2+ Yrs Experience administering Enterprise Information Security Tools preferred
  • Information Security Certifications preferred
  • Experience leading projects
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating risk
  • Writing ability to effectively communicate complex issues

2. Can you describe a specific project where you successfully addressed security risks and vulnerabilities in cloud architecture, and how you implemented appropriate security measures?

3. How have you effectively communicated and collaborated with IT staff during the analysis and response to security events in previous roles?
