JOB REQUIREMENTS : Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED. Job requires frequent lifting. Must have valid driver’s license.

SUMMARY : The delivery driver will pack, load and deliver meals from a nutrition site or local designated storage area to home bound clients. Work methods are fairly easily learned, and employees generally follow detailed instructions when work is not of a repetitive nature. Employees must be able to assist the public in a professional manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Pack and load meals to be delivered according to AASC procedures for hot, frozen or canned meals.
2. Deliver groceries to nutrition sites across the four-county area.
3. Make restock deliveries for home delivered meal supply.
4. Accept food truck deliveries.
5. Maintain paperwork related to deliveries.
6. Deliver meals to home bound clients.
7. Straighten freezer and storage area each workday.
8. Maintain and clean food carriers.
9. Maintain accurate records for assigned tasks.
10. Fill in for home delivered meal drivers as needed.
11. Work at Nutrition sites as needed.
12. Possible data entry duties as assigned (training is provided)
13. Performs other agency-related services as warranted.
14. Transport catered meals to nutrition site from kitchen.
15. Attends training as required.
16. Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all information pertaining to clients and program operations.
17. Demonstrate and maintain good work ethics.

1. General knowledge of agency operations and programs.

2. Ability to meet the public effectively; ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships with others.

3. Good organizational skills.

4. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

5. Good interpersonal communications skills.

6. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

7. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

8. Demonstrates and maintains good work ethics.

9. Computer knowledge preferred but not required.

10. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
