EDM Operator - Senior - Peachtree City (GA), USA IGS GeboJagema is a high-end tool shop, specialized in the design, production, and validation of plastic injection molds. Our customers are global OEMs and CMOs which are active in the market segments Healthcare, Packaging, and Optical. In these segments, we distinguish ourselves with our fully automated production process, our engineering capabilities, and our extensive validation capabilities. More than 90% of our tools are exported outside the Netherlands, of which about half is exported to the USA. EDM Operator – Senior In this role, you are responsible for operating multiple EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines. You write your own programs and execute them. You primarily work on products in the final stages of manufacturing. Additionally, you are responsible for the implementation of new machines and robots and are constantly seeking ways to optimize the production process. Your responsibilities include: Efficiently loading, operating, and monitoring multiple EDM machines using your own programs and independently controlled tools (electrodes). Determining clamping methods and work sequences. Ensuring machine and tool maintenance. Detecting deviations and uncertainties. Inspecting your own work and occasionally that of others according to measurement reports. Optimizing mold components. Making improvement proposals for mold components. Guiding and coaching (Junior) EDM Operators, including supporting their work and explaining procedures. Safety Understanding and adhering to safety procedures. Examples of activities include: Complying with safety regulations. Using tools and machines correctly. Reporting unsafe situations to management. Addressing colleagues regarding unsafe situations. Complying with laws and regulations related to safety, occupational health, and the environment. Getting the Basics Right Supporting others.
