Job Title: Operations Coordinator Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our team in Pevely, MO. This role is critical to supporting our purchasing operations and front-office coordination in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a knack for vendor relations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities - Source and purchase in-house supplies and raw materials.
- Solicit bids from 2-3 vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors.
- Enter purchase orders into the ERP system.
- Coordinate international and domestic shipments, including truck scheduling.
- Track and follow up on invoice requests and vendor payments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective vendors.
- Meet with vendors to discuss pricing, delivery timelines, and service quality.
- Communicate regularly regarding order status, issues, and payment updates.
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front lobby-greet visitors and answer incoming calls.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in purchasing, operations, or administrative coordination preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - ERP knowledge preferred but not required.
- Negotiation skills preferred.
- Go-getter mentality and willingness to learn.
Work Environment The work schedule consists of Monday through Thursday with 4 ten-hour shifts from 7am to 5:30pm, with potential flexibility. The team environment is highly collaborative, and the company offers annual pay increases based on performance. Employees enjoy a supportive and engaging workplace.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
