About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its organization, which has a rich history of celebrating and promoting jazz as a vital Black American art form. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer, responsible for strategic leadership, administrative management, financial sustainability, fundraising, and public representation. This role demands a dynamic leader with a minimum of 5 years' nonprofit and/or executive leadership experience, a proven track record in fundraising, and a deep commitment to the values of the organization. The Executive Director will work in partnership with the Board of Directors and a dedicated staff to uphold and expand the legacy of presenting innovative jazz programming, with a focus on community and cultural engagement.
