A leading food manufacturing company in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on the production floor. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring production targets are met while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Spanish Proficiency is preferred! 

Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Supervise production line activities to meet daily output targets.
• Monitor workflow and quickly resolve any delays or disruptions.

Team Leadership

• Lead and support line staff during active shifts.
• Assign roles, manage shift coverage, and provide direction as needed.
• Promote a team-focused, respectful work culture.

Safety & Product Quality

• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety policies.
• Work alongside QA to identify and resolve quality concerns in real-time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment.

Process Improvement

• Identify and address issues with machinery, materials, or workflow.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to reduce downtime.
• Continuously seek ways to boost productivity and reduce waste.

Training & Performance

• Train new team members on safety procedures and production standards.
• Set clear expectations and monitor performance throughout the shift.
• Address performance issues professionally in collaboration with HR.

Shift Documentation & Handoffs

• Accurately complete shift reports, production logs, and downtime records.
• Communicate critical updates to incoming supervisors and other departments.
