Job Summary & Responsibilities Technical Instructor (Onto Align Title - Learning Experienced Designer- 3) will work in Wilmington, MA reporting to the Sr Manager, Technical Training (in Budd Lake NJ). Relocation assistance is available upon approval. This full-time role involves delivering training to ONTO Service Engineers and Customers primarily on Onto Lithography products. The ideal candidate will have experience in instructional design, stand-up instruction, development of technical documentation, knowledge management, and experience in Task List Based equipment training. Field Service support experience and Lithography expertise are preferred. Designs training courses for customers and ONTO service engineers. Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or ONTO service engineers. Collaborates with customer and functional teams to develop course content specifications. Prepares lesson plans based on engineering documentation, field service requirements, or software documentation. Creates training videos using recording hardware such as Camcorder, Halolens, GoPro. Coordinates with field service, engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure course material reflects current product features. Instructs participants in classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Follows up to ensure course material remains current and relevant. Maintains training equipment readiness and resolves any issues during or outside of classes. Willingness to travel internationally for on-the-job training, customer training, and certification, with travel estimated at 30-50%. Qualifications Fluent English (verbal & written); TOEFL scores accepted. Previous technical training experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with video editing/creation software is desirable. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems. Current passport or entry permission for international travel. Background in electrical/electronics. Ability to read electrical schematics/block diagrams. Understanding of optics or physics is helpful but not essential. Experience with electrical measurement tools like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
