Job Description

Legal Secretary Position

Robert Half Legal is proud to partner with a highly regarded mid-size law firm located in Century City seeking an experienced Legal Secretary. As a Legal Secretary, you will play a critical role in supporting a busy team of attorneys. You will be responsible for providing high-level administrative and legal support, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, hearing dates, and court appearances.
  • File legal documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing.
  • Organize and maintain both electronic and hard copy case files.
  • Liaise with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel in a professional manner.
  • Conduct basic legal research as directed.
  • Assist with billing, time entry, and expense report preparation.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones and managing mail.

Requirements Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of legal secretary experience in a law firm setting.
  • Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures and filing requirements.
  • Proficient with legal document management and calendaring software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
