Manufacturing Engineer - Special Processes
Our Shelby, NC site is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team!
This Manufacturing Engineer (Special Processes) provides technical support of surface treatment and plating operations. You will assist in gaining and maintaining aerospace surface treatment approvals and will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining systems and procedures in support of the Special Processing department.

Your Challenge: \n - Develop, prepare, and maintain plating manufacturing process routings and process sheets.
\n - Under general direction creates the design and implementation of plating racks, masking, fixtures, and tools to support processes.
\n - Develop and implement manufacturing engineering procedures.
\n - Implement and maintain work labor standards records, including engineering and estimation of run times for plating manufacturing processes.
\n - Implementing continuous improvement of processes to provide most economical means of production.
\n - Interpret customer specification changes and implement changes.
\n - Provides technical support for plant layout, purchase of equipment, upgrade of equipment, and feasibility studies.
\n - Comply with all the applicable Environmental and Safety regulations.
\n - Comply with all internal, customer and Nadcap accreditation requirement.
\n - Assist in support Nadcap accreditation audits.
\n - Ability to understand and perform all chemical testing laboratory procedures.
\n - Performs other assignments as directed by supervisor.

What You Bring: \n - Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or technically related field experience considered.
\n - Must be a US Citizen.
\n - Experience with following special processes: Cadmium plating, Cadmium-Titanium plating, Chromium plating, Nickel plating, Zinc-Nickel, Passivation, Anodize and Chem Film application.
\n - Hands-on application of organic coatings.
\n - ACAS, Aerospace Coatings Application Specialist Certification preferred.
\n - CEF, Certified Electro Plating Finisher and CAF, Certified Aerospace Finisher certification from the AESF preferred.
\n - Proficiency in Truechem software applications
\n - Proficiency in computer aided design applications
\n - Knowledge of process verification and troubleshooting methods.
\n - Ability to interpret chemical processing specifications and drawings.
\n - Aerospace special processing background preferred.
