We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team full-time! In this role, you will focus on precision, consistency, and presentation, creating high-quality items that elevate the guest experience while supporting smooth operations and maintaining the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate has proven expertise in small desserts, pastries, and tea-style foods, along with the leadership and organizational skills to manage production, guide staff, and ensure every creation meets our standards of excellence.

Compensation: $55k - $65k annually depending on qualifications.

Schedule: Tuesday Saturday. Hours vary/flexible, either 2nd or 3rd shifts. Open availability preferred.

Pastry Chef Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee production, focusing on small desserts, pastries, and tea-style food items.
• Enhance pastries with decorative icings and toppings.
• Design and execute menus that balance creativity, flavor, and presentation.
• Maintain precision and consistency in portion sizes and plating for high-volume service.
• Hire, train, and supervise pastry staff to meet company standards.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and cost control for pastry and baking operations.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain an organized and efficient pastry kitchen, including equipment and prep areas.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to coordinate menus and special event offerings.
• Support with scheduling, labor management, and overall account operations.
• Any other duties deemed necessary to the position.

Pastry Chef Skills and Qualifications:

• Formal Pastry or Culinary Training. (Pastry degree or certification preferred)
• Management experience potential to oversee the entirety of the account.
• 5 years+ of professional pastry/baking experience, with a focus on small-format desserts.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, flavor pairing, and plating for tea-style service.
• ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Skilled in use of pastry tools, ovens, mixers, and specialty equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects; and stand for extended periods of time.
• Creative problem-solving skills, leadership ability, and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
