The Luxor Studio — New York City’s most exclusive recording destination — is experiencing a surge in bookings and we’re expanding our team. We’re looking for two driven, seriously professional Intern Engineers to help us deliver the magic our clients expect.

Who We Want

You’re passionate about the music industry and hungry to learn and grow. You show up on time, take pride in your work, and know that studio etiquette is everything. If you’ve got a knack for Pro Tools, know your way around a mixing board, and can keep your cool under pressure, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and test sound equipment before each session — every detail counts.
• Record, mix, and edit audio (vocals, instruments) for sessions, making sure every take sounds crisp and clean.
• Enhance sound quality, add effects, and prepare mixes that are ready for the client to walk out the door.
• Engage with clients: listen, follow instructions, and deliver exactly what they want (sometimes before they know they want it).
• Mix and master music at a professional, radio-ready level — any genre, any vibe.
• Keep the studio spotless before and after every session.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they pop up — you’re the first line of defense.

Bonus Points (Preferred, Not Required)

• Previous experience at a recording studio.
• Specialization in vocal or band recording.
• Existing client book or industry contacts.
• Degree or current enrollment in an Audio/Sound Engineering program.

Must-Haves

• Engineering experience (home or professional studio — talent matters more than a fancy space).
• Proficiency in Pro Tools.
• Solid knowledge of recording, editing, and mixing techniques.
• Experience with recording/mixing plugins and studio gear.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for organized workspaces.
• Ability to work independently and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Top-notch communication skills — you’re a people person and a team player.
• Reliable transportation (hours are on-call).
• Excellent time management and flexible/open scheduling.
