The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses. The CDL Driver will collect waste from customer sites and transport to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. Key Responsibilities include driving a roll-off truck along designated routes to mechanically collect, exchange, or deliver containers and take to the post-collection facilities; performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submitting vehicle condition reports; courteously interacting with customers and the public; cleaning loose trash off the truck and ground; maintaining and submitting DOT logbook and other required documentation; maneuvering truck in tight spaces; using key maps and GPS; following safe operating practices and regulations; monitoring operations for debris; and adhering to all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED desired, valid CDL Class A or B, minimum age 21, at least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate, ability to meet safety sensitive function criteria, and ability to safely drive and operate equipment. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include knowledge of truck components and maintenance, ability to maneuver truck, recognize unacceptable waste, communicate effectively, read and comprehend documents and maps, follow instructions, adapt to change, exert physical effort, coordinate limbs, and follow safety policies. Physical and mental demands include ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell; visual requirements; ability to lift/move various weights; sitting up to 75% of the time; and ability to work in loud conditions. Working conditions include exposure to loud noise, weather extremes, mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, outdoor environment, motor vehicle traffic, and occasional work in high precarious places.
