Position Overview:
Soliant is seeking a compassionate and licensed School Social Worker to join our student support services team for the 20252026 school year . This is a full-time position with a set schedule of 32.5 hours per week , consistent across all contractors.
The successful candidate will serve students aged 8 to 22 who have cognitive disabilities that significantly limit their ability to benefit from local district school programs. The School Social Worker will play a vital role in supporting these students social, emotional, and behavioral needs through collaboration with families, educators, and community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to support students social and emotional development
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention strategies
Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, providing insights related to social work services
Conduct social developmental assessments and assist with needs evaluations
Facilitate connections between students, families, and community resources
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work endorsement (SSW)
Current Illinois Social Work License (LSW or LCSW)
Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
Experience in school-based settings preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Compensation & Benefits:
