Job Description

This full-semester contract opportunity is for a School Social Worker serving K-12 students in a Liberty, NY school setting. The role focuses on supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being to promote their academic success and overall development. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with educators, families, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address students' social and emotional needs
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' academic and personal growth
• Advocate for student welfare and connect families with appropriate community resources
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with crisis intervention
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards of school social work

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state social work licensure or eligibility to obtain school social work certification
• Experience working with children and adolescents in school or community settings
• Knowledge of K-12 educational systems and student support services
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with students and families
