This position is vital in supporting students who are transitioning and requires a skilled professional to facilitate effective communication in both one-on-one and classroom settings.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented by training in sign language.
• Considerable experience as an interpreter.
• Eligibility to obtain a Virginia Quality Assurance Screening Level III or its equivalent upon hiring.
• VQAS Level II certification holders will have two years to achieve Level III certification in accordance with VDOE regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.

• Provide interpretation services for students in various educational settings as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate communication and enhance student learning.
