An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support a 2nd grade student in an engaging elementary school environment located in Stockton, CA. This position is designed for the full school year, requiring a commitment of 29 hours per week, with a schedule that accommodates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Qualifications:

• Nationally recognized certification as a Sign Language Interpreter.
• Minimum EIPA score of 4.0.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with elementary students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and adapt to the classroom environment.

Location:

• Stockton, CA

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation and support for a 2nd grade student who is deaf or hard of hearing, facilitating communication in the classroom.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure the delivery of appropriate educational services.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment through effective communication strategies.
