Senior Software Engineer (Go/Java/Python, AWS)

Join the Core Modernization Team at Capital One, where were at the forefront of a multi-year effort to revolutionize our credit card processing systems. Were moving away from legacy mainframes to build a modern, cloud-native platform that will manage the entire credit card lifecycle, from issuance to retirement. This is a critical initiative with a direct impact on our customers, and your work will be central to our success.
As a Senior Engineer on our team, youll be a key driver of this transformation. Youll own the hands-on implementation of complex systems, lead technical decisions, and mentor junior developers. Your work will directly impact the design, architecture, and delivery of our target state solutions, bringing them from concept to production.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Chicago, IL: $144,200 $164,600 for Senior Software Engineer
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
