Job Title: Life Skills Teacher Special Education (Contracted through ProCare)
Location: Dale, TX
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Life Skills Teacher to join a supportive school team in Dale, TX. This role involves working with a caseload of 1020 students in a Life Skills classroom setting, supported by teaching assistants . The teacher will provide instruction in functional academics, social skills, and independent living skills while ensuring students receive individualized support aligned with their IEP goals.
Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in core academics, daily living skills, and social-emotional development.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teaching assistants to ensure effective classroom management and individualized student support.
• Use differentiated instruction and adaptive strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents, related service providers, and school staff to promote student progress.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education (or related field).
• Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
