We are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in coordinating surgical procedures and ensuring smooth communication between patients, surgeons, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule surgical procedures with hospitals, surgical centers, and physicians
Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and verify insurance coverage
Communicate surgical preparation instructions to patients
Coordinate pre-op testing and follow-up appointments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date surgery logs and patient records
Collaborate with staff and respond promptly to schedule changes or cancellations
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or medical administrative certification preferred
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in medical scheduling, preferably in a surgical or specialty setting
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
