Pride Health is hiring for a Medical Laboratory Technician to support our client’s facility in  Manitowoc, WI (54220) . This is a 26-week contract opportunity , offering an excellent chance to expand your technical expertise in a collaborative and patient-focused laboratory setting.

 

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently according to established protocols.
• Conduct quality control, instrument calibration, and maintenance to ensure accurate test results.
• Process specimens and perform phlebotomy as required.
• Record, analyze, and verify test results before reporting to healthcare teams.
• Maintain organized workstations and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
• Participate in training and mentoring of students and new employees.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure optimal workflow.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology (or military equivalent) –  Required

Certifications:

• MLT or MLS Certification (ASCP or equivalent) –  Required within 6–12 months of hire

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience –  Preferred

Additional  Information:\n\nLocation: Manitowoc, WI 54220\nJob Type: 26-week  contract\nSchedule: 2nd Shift | Variable (12:30 PM–9:00 PM or 1:30 PM–10:00 PM) | Mon–Fri | Weekends 12:00 PM–8:30 PM\n\nLocal Pay range: $35-$40/hour\n*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare  credentials.\n\n\nTravel Pay range: $1800-$2000/Weekly\n*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials
