LifePoint is seeking a travel Radiation Therapist for a travel job in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Position Summary: MMC Las Cruces is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment to support the delivery of radiation therapy treatments for oncology patients. The role focuses on administering prescribed radiation with precision while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and emotional support during therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist using linear accelerators and other specialized equipment
• Verify patient identity and confirm treatment parameters prior to each session
• Position patients accurately using immobilization devices and anatomical landmarks
• Monitor patients during treatment for adverse reactions or concerns
• Document treatment delivery, patient responses, and any deviations from standard protocols
• Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology nurses for quality assurance and patient care
• Maintain radiation safety standards and equipment functionality in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Provide empathetic communication and education to patients regarding their therapy regimen

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
• Valid New Mexico licensure or eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Proficiency with treatment planning systems and linear accelerator technology
• Strong communication, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills
• BLS certification required
