Job Description

Our client, a leader in the aviation industry, is seeking a UX Designer to join their team on a long-term, ongoing contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to internal sales programs that enhance employee workflows and operational efficiency, while enjoying the stability of a contract that includes benefits. The position requires 3 days per week on-site (Tuesday through Thursday) in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

What You'll Do

Design

  • Create the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of enterprise applications and internal tools.
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
  • Maintain detailed specifications and design patterns to ensure consistency across experiences.

Information Architecture

  • Translate business rules and assets into comprehensive UX systems and enterprise solutions.
  • Prepare and manage UX documentation, including navigational flows, mockups, use cases, and prototypes.
  • Advocate for end users by collaborating with product owners and business stakeholders.

UX Research

  • Develop research strategies aligned with project goals and KPIs.
  • Create usability test plans, interview scripts, and scenarios for testing prototypes.
  • Conduct a range of methods, including heuristic reviews, moderated/unmoderated testing, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Analyze and incorporate feedback to improve designs iteratively.

Project Management

  • Provide timely status reporting on work progress, blockers, and risks.
  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
  • Take ownership of design deliverables from discovery through implementation.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Human Factors, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences, or related discipline—or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, or a similar role.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage complex tools or applications.
  • Experience collaborating with developers in an agile environment.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe CC, Axure).
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and enterprise workflows.
  • Experience creating responsive, adaptive, and accessible designs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing internal tools or complex systems with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility, localization, and inclusive design.
  • Experience designing for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills for labeling, classifying, and building wireframes for complex applications.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as generative AI or spatial computing.

Additional Details

  • Location: Dallas-Fort Worth area (on-site 3 days per week).
  • Contract Type: Long-term ongoing contract with benefits.
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • NO C2C. Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Pay Range: $50 - $65 per hour

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as prevailing labor market costs, the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience, and other employment conditions. Our full-time consultants have access to benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401 (k) contributions, and any other PTO, sick leave, and benefits mandated by applicable state or local laws where you reside or work.
