About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President and Chief Development Officer to play a pivotal role in a mission-driven campaign to increase the affordability of its world-renowned artistic education. The successful candidate will be an established, senior executive with a proven track record in leading successful philanthropic campaigns and increasing unrestricted annual operating funds. This role demands a strategist with the ability to translate a big-picture vision into tangible outcomes, and a leader who can build and lead a successful development program, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns and major gift solicitations. The VP will be a key advisor on philanthropy, overseeing a team and working closely with the President and Board of Trustees to ensure the continued success and expanded impact of the institution. Candidates for this position at the company should have a deep appreciation for the performing arts and the transformative power of art and artists. The role requires a trustworthy partner and cross-functional collaborator with strong executive presence, discretion, and emotional intelligence. The VP will be a highly visible ambassador, representing the institution's professionalism and excellence.
