Samuel Goldstein & Co., PC is a Western Nassau accounting firm who's clients are diversified. We are seeking an individual with three or more years' experience in accounting with an emphasis in the preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with client engagements which may include preparing financial statements
  • Assist in day to day activities for client engagements with minimal assistance
  • Be able to work somewhat independently with a diverse client base across multiple jobs, for various clients concurrently, as well as in a team environment
  • Use CCH Prosystem fx Engagement and Microsoft Office applications proficiently
  • Candidate should be detail oriented and well organized with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
  • Handling of sales and payroll tax reporting
  • Audits of Employee Benefit Plans a plus
  • Local travel to and from clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 3 years of recent and relevant audit experience in U.S. public accounting
  • CPA license is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extremely organized with an ability to multi-task, manage time appropriately and work within budget parameters
  • Well-developed work ethic
  • Excellent technical and research skills
  • Candidate should be detail oriented and well organized with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
  • Be proficient in Quick-Books and Microsoft Office including word and excel
