Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work, and for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.

Responsibilities

• Approach all guests and employees with a smile.
• Handle check?ins and check?outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations.
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel service facilities and hours of operation.
• Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions.
• Maintain an up?to?date working knowledge of all property amenities, special events, local area attractions, and things to do near the hotel.
• Operate the Front Desk computer system.
• Initiate and complete the End?of?Day process.
• Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
• Handle and follow through on all overnight guest requests.
• Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required.
• Handle items for Lost and Found.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the Guest Services Director or any other member of management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is a plus.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Willing and able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
• Demonstrate the ability to multi?task, be detail?oriented, and problem?solve.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
