Social Media Manager

Job Description

The Social Media Manager is responsible for content and product management of the Alumni Hall social media accounts. The Social Media Manager is also responsible for development of creative content used for social media & marketing purposes. The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Marketing. 

Responsibilities:

- Manage daily activity on social media accounts for Alumni Hall including but not limited to: X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok

- Grow Alumni Hall social media following

- Develop ideas, concepts, and themes for content development and clearly provide direction for execution

- Each team has its own page on every platform, must manage each separately to cater to individual and specific teams 

- Create and execute social media campaigns with a consistent marketing message and tone

- Consistently communicate with Store Managers, Marketing Director, Ecommerce team and other departments to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy 

- Interact and respond to customers and fans in real time on all platforms

- Actively keep up with Alumni Hall teams, games, standings, and events around stores and school campuses

Continuously monitor and report on results and growth of pages

- Serve as part of the Alumni Hall team and assist in other areas as needed

- Occasional travel to stores and events

- Content and graphic creation 

- Paid social ads 

- Keep up to date with changes in social media as a whole and various platforms

Requirements:

- Must be proficient in Canva, ideally proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop)

- Knowledge of Hootsuite or similar tool

- Prior experience in managing business social media accounts and customer service

- Passion for collegiate sports

- In-depth knowledge of popular social media platforms and their respective audiences

- Customer service-minded

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Exceptional time management 

- Willingness to work outside of non-standard business hours on occasion 

- Team player with positive and enthusiastic attitude
