Duration : 12+ months Contract (Potential for extension/Potential to Convert to FTE)

Pay Rate : $65/hr. on C2C

Job Description:

TxDOT work to be accomplished:

• Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs.
• Testing and evaluating new programs.
• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business, and systems analysts.
• Utilized technology such as AI to expedite the software development process.
• 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Build and optimize front-end components using Angular and AG Grid for dynamic, data-driven interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Integrate AI tools and techniques into application workflows for automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.

Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular application development.
• 8 years Strong proficiency in Angular and AG Grid for building rich UI components.
• 8 years' experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work in collaborative environments.
• Adaptability to emerging technologies and AI-driven development practices.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT-based coding assistants).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
